COLUMBIA CITY, IN, NOVEMBER 17, 2008: Imaging Office Systems, Inc. (IOS) presented at the 2008 AIIM Service Bureau Executive Forum in Austin, Texas. The Forum is designed to bring together companies that offer outsource conversion services like paper, microfilm, microfiche, and book scanning, document indexing, hosted retrieval systems, etc. The presentations given are focused on helping the attendee companies do what they do even better through technical innovation, process improvement, and quality control enhancements.
At this year’s forum, Angela Childs, Director of Professional Services for Imaging Office Systems, was asked to create a presentation on the topic Getting it Right the First Time: Best Practices for pricing the job, keeping it on track, and delivering results. The presentation centered on best practices for training, scheduling, inserting quality into processes. The presentation borrowed heavily from LEAN manufacturing techniques and the practices of companies like Toyota and Dell.
The presentation was so well received that IOS has been asked to return again in 2009 and deliver the same presentation.
