The DiskXtender® Family: XtenderSolutions® for Storage
DiskXtender® products make storage management easy and affordable. They unify storage management across your enterprise—creating a virtualized data pool that expands primary or secondary storage onto any number of additional media/devices while simplifying management of those resources.

DiskXtender delivers:

  • Automated, policy-based management:
Intelligent data movers place data based on application needs. Distributed storage media/devices are centrally managed and administered, and space is automatically consolidated and aggregated.
  • Open access across all devices across the enterprise:
Provides your applications with a single, logical view of all stored data and transparent access to all storage assets.

DiskXtender offers virtually infinite storage capacity while reducing the total cost of data ownership. It supports ALL leading storage media and applications, allowing additional devices to be located anywhere on the LAN or SAN with either centralized or distributed control. DiskXtender intelligently automates the movement of inactive data to the most cost-effective media and devices while minimizing the time/money required to manage that storage infrastructure.

DiskXtender for Windows
DiskXtender for Windows supports Microsoft Windows NT and Windows 2000 operating systems. It also supports the Universal Data Format standard, assuring that stored data will remain readable for the long term.

DiskXtender UNIX/Linux
DiskXtender UNIX/Linux (DXUL) transparently expands UNIX or Linux file systems, providing users with open access to massively scalable volumes of enterprise-wide data while reducing total cost of data storage ownership.

ArchiveXtender™
ArchiveXtender (ARCX) is a simple, proven system that virtualizes secondary optical storage devices to provide transparency between the operating system and the physical storage solution.
